Getting a Christmas Tree

We trekked out to the tree farm today to get a Christmas Tree. We had fun wandering all around looking for the perfect tree. We wanted a small-ish tree, so it wouldn't take up so much space. There was one tree Scott and I liked, but Megan shot it down immediately. The reason? "There's not enough room under that tree for very many presents." We tried to convince her that we could trim some branches so there would be space, but she wouldn't budge. The photo of the girls & I is with our actual tree before Scott cut it down. While he was doing that, the girls and I started to walk back to the car. They collected "brooms" (stray branches from the trees) the whole way back. Everyone had rosy cheeks and cold noses by the time we headed home for hot cocoa with the tree strapped on top!
